36/5 after 11
so much for golla having some practise before the first test - a duck! so much so for aftab as well. unless these two come back in the second innings, we will have to go back to the drawing board on all our speculation!
but, as opening 10 overs go, the A team is doing no worse than the national team would have.

I think it was a typo from Rafiq bhai. IT's 36/2 after 11. Nafees has 21 and Rajin has 6...
or perhaps we just had 3 run outs in a row off of no-balls

So far it seems that there is no difference whatsoever among BCB XI (i.e., BD U-19 team), BD 'A' team and BD National team.
Now it is upto the big boys of Bangladesh National Team (i.e., Javed Omar and Hannan Sarkar) to prove me wrong.

Aftab seems to have been caught behind off Harmison. Harmison can produce sudden pace sometimes.

What more will the big boys (hannan and golla) prove that they haven't proven yet?

Harmison can produce a lot of pace. He is extremely quick when he is in his element. But I'm very disappointed with this score. What is it with our openers? The signs aren't good.

yes i was going to ask bbc observers what the frequency of updates is. I think it is somehow tied to the frequency at which BD loses wickets, so there must be an update coming up soon...

rikki clarke had one maiden and got hit for 12 in his other over (out of 2) - nice. I hope he plays instead of collingwood in the test, english fans over on bbc message board don't think much of him (must look up sham's analysis again)

I\'ll save you the time
I don't even know why he is in BD! Taking Rikki Clarke along and hoping to make a Test all-rounder out of him is the height of optimism. He looked out of place in the ODI team, how they can possibly consider him for the Test team, even in the absence of Flintoff, I dont know. Someone like Tudor has much better all-round potential.

let him stay
he can be england's junaid zia...we'll spank him for a couple of boundaries and make the scorecard look good.

yah, let him stay
loved his batting too.
The picture of his shattered stumps was so pleasant.

Aftab, who was the top scorer in both the innings for the BCB XI said, “I barely found anything special in the English bowling line-up. Matthew Hoggard swung the ball from both sides, but only when it was new. Harmison was a bit quick. Other than that, I did not find anything which could be called formidable”.

well when Harm Is On, a wicket or two is always likely.
BD openers need to survive Hoggard and Harmison if they are to succeed!

not to jinx the guy, but nafees is scoring at a good striker rate. if he has a good overall game here, he could come in for golla in the odis? I hope we don't hear calls for golla to be dropped because of the duck.
