Habibul Bashar and Mohammad Rafique - the names of only two (2) players. One is a specialist batsman and the other is a specialist bowler.

Soon, when the top ten list of the players for the year 2003 in Test Cricket will be published, these two Bangladeshi(!) players will be in those two lists for the top batsman and the bowlers.

Habibul Bashar is somebody who has consistently been scoring runs for Bangladesh in Test cricket since his and Bangladesh's maiden test match.

Mohammad Rafique, the so-called 'One Day specialist' player, who was only given a chance in test cricket this year when ace veteran Enamul Haque was left out of the team for not performing in favor of this 'one-day specialist' spinner.

The improvements made by only these two players have almost turned the game around for Bangladesh in the year 2003. This was particularly for their efforts that Bangladesh was able to compete against the world's best on one occassion. For Bangladesh, this was a huge improvement, considering the poor show of the same team earlier.
