Happy with his test captaincy, like to see how he uses his pacers in upcoming series.

He has no faith in pacers. While this works at home the team will suffer badly under him overseas

His over-reliance on spinners nothing new. Pretty sure, our ODI team will go back to same old 2 pacer attack once mash retires.

I read somewhere that Rhodes wanted to have pacer friendly pitches for Zim and WI series to prepare for NZ series and the WC. But Papon wanted to win the series at any cost and decided to play in spinning track. Dont know if this is true

A very good quantitative analysis. It would have been great if it was in English so that everyone could read it. Anyways enjoy:

Very good performance. This is what we expect from him in every series. When his mind is in the game, he can do this against any quality team.

He is also filling up the leadership gap in the team. I wish him well.

Right as fans we have the right to expect this in every series. but in reality its not possible to do this every series. sometimes there will be bad series..so we need to keep that in mind as well

Shakib is the 3rd highest wicket taker now in T20 history. He has 85 wickets along with ajmal and Gul. Afridi has 99 and Malinga has 92 wickets. Shakib will surely be the highest wicket taker in T20 soon

Congratulations. You have the courage and potential for taking this team to top.

Remember, sky is the limit. That all round performance with injury and fever deserves much more than just praise.

Also get rid of Mushfiqur from T20I.

Excellent! He gets wickets, he gets runs! He's Shakib Al Hassan, or as I like to call him Shakib Al Jordan.

But I would like for Liton to stay attached to Shakib on the hip and learn as much as he can about captaincy and leadership and all that good stuff. I think T20 should be Liton's team. It's the only format he should play in, get his IPL call up next season, and set new standards for our T20 style of play.

Liton is more than capable of being the 'Jason Roy' type ODI opener for us. The recent Asia cup century was pure class. Given the world cup will be on flat English pitches, our only chance of crossing 300+ scores would bank on Liton giving us a fast start, now that Tamim plays the sheet anchor role.

Shommo shot making ability makes him even more suited for the T20s. One of the few BD players that can easily clear the rope without much fuss. He needs to work n the mental side of his game and have a plan for is innings.

When you think of t20 Shakib should be the first person to come to mind for BD.

He really doesn’t need to prove to non believers what truly his value is. I hope before he retires he wins an international tournament.

Wow. I totally disagree with you there. Soumya feels more comfortable playing ODIs, apart from his bad patch of form, he has a higher strike rate and avg than Liton in ODIs. Liton on the other hand, has a higher strike rate and avg than Soumya in T20s.

Soumya has more games than Liton though at the int. stage, so Liton may still develop into a better ODI player. But I think it would be best if they specialized at each format respectively.

that was never in question. shakib really doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. his stats speaks for himself.

If I am not mistaken, he is the only player whose spot was never questioned in any formats. Tamim had a slump and we all know his 4 finger celebration. TI's t20 role was also questioned many times. Mushfiq's role had many doubters too before his resurgence. Mullah/Mash went through similar phases. But Shakib was always an automatic choice.

If his stats talk, then alot of non-Banglaeshi fans and pundits dont listen or ignore them.
To us Bangladeshis he will be the best all rounder there is.

His talent was never questioned, but his commitment was sometimes questioned in the past.

Whatever motivated him, I don't care, I want to see this kind of motivated and hungry Sakib... because for himm sky is the limit.

Yes, I would also argue that in ODI, Riyad's place was never questioned. Only when he started hanging out with Mushfiq more, he started taking up some of this lame characteristics. But when you keep him away from Mushfiq, he is a fine ODI player and always has been from day 1, unlike Mushfiq.

I just don't understand why he turns into a tailender batsman when he plays IPL or other foreign leagues.
