The Flag fiasco.
I can't believe this. I thought this news was restricted to the BD media. Now it is all over the world! What gets me pissed off is that in all this commotion the opposition takes the advantage to criticize the government when it is truly a national fiasco of the 1st order. Typical bangali. When will this all end?

How can you expect this news to be restricted to bangladeshi media?
Bangladesh insulted foreign nations it was hosting, insulted it's own national anthem and showed its incompetence at handling the logistics. Or specifically, the ministries in charge did. What a bunch of pathetic losers all these people are...

Absolutely amazing incompetence! This is terrible.. I suppose this is what happens when you get your friends and relatives to do things they are not qualified to do. Sheesh - things just go from bad to worse in BD.

This is embarassing to say the least. We are a bunch of international jokers. The PM is furious I hear. And Hasina wants to put her on trial. Our entire country is a joke!
I would really like to know why this happened? If I may venture a guess, I think it is because this event is being organized by the Parliament Secretariat rather than the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The PS has no prior experience of organizing an international event of this nature, while the Foreign Office has successfully organized SAARC Summits in the past which were attended by 7 Heads of Governments. I just don't know what goes on in our country!

Plus there is an internal conflict between the speaker and deputy speaker, which might have lead to a sabotage for this mismanagement.

Khaleda needs to fire the right people
Khaleda needs to put her money where her mouth is and fire the right people who were in overall charge - be it Ministers, Speaker, her son, whoever. Suspending the underlings does not do any good.
