Mosaddek batted at #7 in the first innings. Zia batted ahead of him as a night watchman I believe and thats why he's at 8. I think its because Mosaddek will be batting at 7 for the national team.

I don't think thats a bad idea entirely. Let him practice at domestic level what he is expected to do at Test level. His domestic average is well above 65 and he has 3 double hundreds, so we know he can bat. He has nothing to prove batting at 4 or 5, and moreover he won't be batting at 4 or 5 ahead of Riyad/Mushy/Shakib.

I just hope he and Mominul have their positions nailed down.

He's on 57 not out now batting with Nayeem who's on 28. Hope he can get a 100.

Check the time stamp of this post. Musa is on now on 82 not out! In 4 minutes, Mosaddek went from 57 to 82

His last over (against Tanbir's leg spin) went: 0, 6, 6, 2, 4, 6.

Took 24 off that over! This kid can bat!

Selectors and everyone always overlooking Mosaddek. Guy can do better than the useless hack Sabbir.

Mosa got his hundred...102 not out now.

Nayeem falls, Razzak in. Can Mosa get to 150?

There are things to be sorted out in the test team. Who will bat at No.2 ? In the recent times selectors only tried Imrul and Soumya. They did send Liton to open in SA. But that was because Tamim couldn't bat as he was out of the field for some time.

I hope they understand that Mosaddek is a better option than sabbir in the tests. But if Liton does not open and Mahmudullah plays (which is very likely) the only way Mosaddek can play is if they pick 8 batsmen.

It's good to see Mosaddek getting the century. This is his second in the league. It's not easy to score centuries at No. 7 or 8.

Mosaddek has proved himself way more than riyad has at FC level.

Tamim
Imrul
Mominul
Mushfiq
Riyad
Shakib
Liton

But Imrul really shouldn't be in the lineup IMO. Drop him for Liton and give Mushy the gloves. Then Mosaddek can fit. You can't leave out a guy who averages 68 in first class cricket.

And then shanto over riyad.

If mushy sucks too bad in a particular match with the gloves then share the duties with liton from time to time or for some periods.

Congrats to Mosaddek for yet another century.

Well in a different perspective, Indian Leagues probably has hundred or more players like Tushar, Dikans, Fazle, the Rock and Mosaddek.

Rather see Zakir as a keeper in our test side than Nurul.

Well fair enough, zakir has a good record but he is young and less experienced than nurul, and nurul is probably going to enter his prime in the next couple of years. But if zakir is legitimately better then sure. Zakir does already have a higher FC score than nurul, nurul has more hundreds by 2 but has played a lot more innings.

I think he has every right to be a bit ticked off.

Must’ve done alright in the last innings against ebadat who is pretty nippy.

Shoriful Islam 14.1-0-54-7
Yeasin Arafat 14-0-55-7

Can't remember the last time we've seen figures like that from 2 Bangladeshi fast bowlers bowling for the same team. Are they the Bangladeshi Walsh and Ambrose?

Why would you say that? Did fairly well vs Lakmal last year, and vs Afghan pacers. Even in NZ conditions, hit some big shots vs Lockie who is one of the fastest bowlers in the world at the moment.

No Yasin who took 7 wickets last round.
No Shoriful who took 7 wickets last round
No Ebadat who took 5 wickets last round
No Mosaddek who scored 123 runs without being dismissed last round.

Yet guys like Mithun, Tushar, Saifuddin, Mashrafee, and Hom are still playing.

Lockie Ferguson is one the best fast bowlers in the world?

Did not expect that comment from you.

Shoriful Islam needs to be fast tracked in the side, this kids got talent.

But lets not give him the world just yet. I hope his debut is **** as hell, that way he can learn, better to fail than to succeed and give up.
