I agree with that. But I don't think selectors are planning to have him open in test. Remember, Liton has a good list A record too. He also can have a shot there. He only played 12 ODIs. If he is given enough time, he might come off good.

Ideal lineup would be with Riyad being benched. But that won't happen since he's been named VC. So instead of this:

Tamim
Liton
Mominul
Mushy
Mosaddek
Shakib
Nurul (+)

We are most likely going to see:

Tamim
Liton/Imrul
Mominul
Riyad
Mushy (+)
Shakib
Mosaddek

Why Imrul? His batting avg across all formats:

Test: 26.33
FC: 34.95

ODI: 28.95
List A: 33.52

T20i: 9.15
T20: 22.66

It's so horrendous that I can't tolerate anymore. He is done & dusted for me.

Overall, a better record than Mo Ash

Yeasin getting the big top order wickets of mominul and Liton. Ashraful and afif at the crease, two batsmen with flair.

Gets his 3rd! Do we have any idea how fast yeasin might bowl?

Wow yeasin on a roll, 4fer, only 5 wickets down. Kapali gone.

All of our seamers are the same pace (135-140), so its highly unlikely Mishu is outside that range.

We need to blood Mishu, Ebadat, Abu Hider into the Test/ODI lineup. Fizz and Rubel need support.

Only reason I ask is because they've got him down as medium. Shoriful picks up two, the two young guns leading the way today.

Think at this stage hider is only good for short formats, will do well with rubel in ODIs I think.

Ebadat should probably get some chances in tests with fizz.

Yeah. Should be Fizz, Ebadat, Shoriful, Yeasin (latter two in a couple of years) in Tests. And for ODIs should be Fizz, Rubel, Yeasin going forward. Shoriful also has good List A stats, right? Then he can play ODIs as well.

The other notable thing is Ebadat and Yeasin are 6'1" and Shoriful is 6'3".

Shoriful has better list A stats than FC stats.

Confused about manik, at least a couple of the coaches have seen something in him but he hasn't got many chances, hasn't taken his chances either but would think he'd get a decent go if a few highish profile coaches say a good word about you...

Yeasin and shoriful strike taking east zone to 4/51 trailing by 147. Shafiul got the first two wickets.

Can ashraful play a masterful innings with saifuddin and the tail to get his team ahead and at least get a lead so it isn't an innings defeat? We shall see.

Roy is better and more ready than all the players you listed

I don’t think so. We need young quicks who can carry the bowling for the next 8-10 years. Ebadat is the oldest of that group and he’s only 24.

Why is Mosaddek batting at No.8, especially since he made his name through First Class cricket? How will he get the opportunity to play a long innings in that position? A very weird way of grooming a young talent. He needs to bat higher up, score runs and regain some of the lost confidence. Maybe a "boro bhai" culture is preventing him from batting at No.4/5, who knows.

Excellent to see two tall fast bowlers taking 14 wickets amongst them. They are already better than Shafiul who has played Tests for BD as recently as 2016.

Yeah, unless he has some sort of injury (but why would he be playing?) then it’s pretty disappointing, he a tushar are the two best bats in the team (anamul not bad either).
