captain's bowling strategy
Anyone else a little upset about mushy not utilizing part timers? He brought in shahadat in the last over of the powerplay, needlessly where he could have easily went with gazi or razzak. And that over cost us quite a few runs. He again could have easily bowled mominul or ash when mahmudullah was bowling but he opted on saving overs for shahadat, for what? We all know pacers now are a liability more than an asset and his expensive opening spell adding more reasons to not use him at death one would think. He should have realized that and got a part timer to bowl during the middle overs. Again i think even as little as two overs less from shahadat would have saved 20 odd runs. But NO mush had to go the conventional " front line bowler has to bowl out his quota" strategy. I heard russel arnold bringing up the point and I was thinking the same before he said it.

Like pacers, Mushys captaincy now a big liability for this team. Shakib should be the captain.

Wow I thought this would be a good issue to talk about since I noticed quite a few times mushy doing this but people here have other ideas. My thread is failing miserably.

Ashraful's leg spin could have been utilized.
Nasir's medium Aftab Ahmed pace could have been utilized

I don't understand the logic with sticking with only 5 bowlers when there is not much difference between your 3rd, 4th and 5th and the rest of the bunch. Rahim could use Nasir/Ashraful/Mominul for 2 overs somewhere in the middle, and that could give him more flexibility at the end end of the innings, specially last few overs in the innings.

Yes HC should try to influence, but this is on-field bowler management, its mainly falls under captain. So if we agree that mistake was made, it's mainly falls under Rahim.

I think it's a mistake not to use part timers when you have blockheads like Shahdat. Otherwise, not really, because there should be 5 guys in the team who train more than others on their bowling in practice and thus are entrusted to have the most skills and preparation going into the match.
I thought Mushy could have given Mominul a go. But not Ash. Ash is not a successful part timer, easy to smash for sixes.

Today, Mushfiqur's bowling change was nothing short of horrible. But, he has not shown an ability to not follow a script.

I can do quadruple negatives, but then even I might be hard-pressed to decipher them.
