As a result of this fire.

The transmission facility of NTv and RTv and their studios are completely destroyed.

No one knows when they will be back on air again.

Actually yes, the grape vines are already flowing stories of how Falu and his buddies can benefit from this incident:

1. Covering up some crimes.
2. After what happened to ETV, (lots of ETVs assets simply rusted off in 5 years) and NTV & RTV facing potential shut-down, it is economically more viable for the owners to set em on fire, they get full compensation from the fire insurance.

I heard this from several people today, because NTV, RTV, Amar Desh, Islamic TV, Dandy Dying covered more than 50% of the building and all the owners are in trouble now.

I am wondering what kind people still read this so called Amar desh newspaper. They must be hardcore supporter.

There is another theory. AL could also benefit from destroying these media so people can blame it on the Army or Falu & co. themselves. It's a win-win situation.

Or maybe:

1. BNP Did it so that some people think BAL did it to put blame on army and BNP. Its not just win-win .. its double-win

or, how about,

2. Dr. Y did it so that half the polulation blame it on BAL and the other half on BNP. This is kinda Noakhailla - Win.

Roaring inferno at Karwan Bazar

1. Firefighters try to rescue people gathered at the balcony of a floor in BSEC Bhaban at Karwan Bazar in the capital after a devastating fire rages through the building yesterday. 2. Several people climb down a fire service ladder while a man's life hangs on a rope as he tries to get down from a higher floor. 3. A fireman rescues a child strapping him on his back. 4. Three people use ropes and cables to reach the fire service ladder. 5. Firefighters try to douse the flames from the nest of a snorkel fire engine. 6. Smoke covers the whole area as bystanders, many with hands on their heads, are anxiously watching the rescue operation. 7. A man breaks down in tears seeing the horrific incident. 8. An anxious pedestrian watches in horror as rescue attempts continue. 9. A woman worried about her husband, trapped in the burning building, tries to call him in desperation. PHOTO: STAR

This makes we wonder if we have any type of fire code for these tall buildings. each sky scrappers should have an outside ladder escape capability. Or buildings close to eachother should have walkways above the 5th floor connecting and networking among the buildings nearby.

While everyone is giving their theory, let me give mine.

In my opinion, this devastating fire has only one culprit behind it and that is short circuit.

Before delving into the conspiracy theory, I'll take a moment to pray for the souls that passes away. No matter who benefited from this, its not the ppl who passed away or their families. May Allah rest their souls....

My heart goes out to all the people who are/were involved in those organizations. As a small show of support I have decided not cancell my subscription to NTV.

Watching the videos of the rescue operation, I felt proud that our firefighters, police, defense personnel and other volunteers actually did a very good job in rescuing almost all the people alive with their ridiculously scarce resources. They used several improvised solutions in the rescue. Considering the fact that the entire 11 stories of the building was completely burnt, the casualty of just 3 (Out of which 2 actually died by jumping off) indicates tremendous success of the operation.

CONGRATULATIONS to all involved in the rescue operation.

Falu was seen without much reaction when he was informed about this. It seemed very much expected to him...so HB's conspiracy theory may really be at work here.

As much as i'd pray for the departed soul and my condolences for the grieving families.. something is really fishy...

there has to be a massive conspiracy theory behind this incident of mammoth proportion... accident would be a great "coincidence"... given the timing of our current political situation...
