If you arent too lazy you can stop by my place beside Grad House, opposite the AC and take em on a pen drive off of my computer

As for Notun Kore Pabo Bole, I think Shahana isnt all that good a singer. Her vocal range has limitations. Thankfully most of the songs are sung by other ppl in that album, although they're really slow with modern instrumental arrangements. The album gets disappointing after a while. (Or maybe its because the sampling rate on the recordings I have of it are a fraction slower than I'd prefer).

ALL the songs are sung by sahana in the critically acclaimed robindroshongeet album, including track 10 kon puraton praner tane, a duet with her husband ornob. ornob arranged the music. the album's put out by bengal music ltd. ornob's the ceo of the company.

you must be talking about some other notun kore pabo bole....

Erm, if I may make a request - gang at least buy the bangladeshi band tracks. I have resisted the urge to download them - deshi bands ra jodi na poisha pay tahole to they don't have fat record company contract or concert tour revenue to fall back on.

Ammark, I know which album you are talking about. Someone uploaded a tagore mix album with songs from various sources (wont be surprised if they themselve sang few) and made them available online just weeks before the original album release. "nishitho raater badol dhara' was the only song in the album by Sahana as it was out in the market already. I dont know how much this tainted Sahana-Arnab's image but its hard to fool Tagore connoisseurs....

As for me, my dad listened to a lot of Tagore songs and certainly most of the songs sound familiar to me from Sahana's album. Its a nice album and had those soothing melodies inherent to Tagore songs. I dont know how much I'll enjoy tagore songs by Hemanta or Sadi Mohd or Rezwana Chy Bonna, but I certainly enjoyed some of these songs.....

Thanks to Sohel_NR and others, Ammark is able to listen the real Shahana Bajpai album!!!

I love Shahana's voice and Arnob did an amazing job in using modern instruments but still retaining the "feel" of Rabindrosngeet.

Good call Razab bhai. But unfortunately, their tracks are all dui numbered in Dhaka. So the actual revenue doesn't go to them. Otherwise I would love to buy it from here paying $10 for a 50 Taka CD that I can get in Dhaka.
