So what the heck our PM Hasina was doing on today's game. She even invited Sachin to her place yesterday to meet her family. I wish she didn't do none of these. Now, ekhon Khalida-o rush kore bashai giye game dekheche...That shows their priorities (competing with each other to show off --ekdom faltu)!

Agree with most of this post actually, however, for the PM to actually make an appearance in the game is pretty special, and would do well to lift the crowd, and in doing so, the boys.
The "running home and watching the match on tv" is pure BS for sure. Publicity stunt, just trying to join the bandwagon.

Since when Sports is not part of government body ? PM has the ultimate power any issues within the country, be it sports, economics, law and regulations etc. So, to ensure cricket (sports) runs smoothly is also part of PM's duty.
Regarding what PM Hasina was doing on today's game. She went there to enjoy the game with her family. Do you have any problem with that ? Can't she go anywhere as she wishes ? I am really surprised to see such question asked.

Arey bhai....obviously our politicians have more important things to do...but that's not the point is it?
The US economy is in the dumps, yet Obama takes time out to put up his own bracket for March Madness - takes timeout to take David Cameron to the final pre-qualifying matches for the tournament, and obviously we've seen the tradition of hosting championship winning sides at the White House.
Not to mention the 1 on 1, he gave Bill Simmons from ESPN/grantland.com, where he spoke about sports, and his favorite shows, along with his favorite character from The Wire(Omar, who else?)
Not sure he or his predecessors have ever faced criticism for doing this....it's actually quite a big tradition, as is throwing out the 1st delivery at a baseball game. Imagine Hasina/Khaleda bowling the 1st delivery...HAHAHAHA.
Our politicians are fools, we know that, I get that, we hate these idiots so much, some of hate to see them amongst a team, or a group of players, we so genuinely love. But this is one instance where their actions are no different than that of any others...John Howard(ex Aussie PM) and massive cricket lover, used to attend a lot of matches played on Australian soil(mainly matches in Sydney).

I am no fan of any Bangladeshi politician, but I believe PM Hasina has every right to be there. It would be great if PM Hasina and BNP chair Khaleda Zia both watches the final together. This would be a great moral booster in the month of Bangladesh Independence.

Super like this post. Specially the bolded part. That would be a dream come true and would prove that cricket is the only thing that can bring unity amongst Bangladeshis.
But unfortunately, we Bangladeshis are not fortunate enough to see our politicians working together or sharing the same stage for the benefit of our country. Maybe in the future we can see that but definitely not with these two.
