Both openers should be dropped, but whom are we kidding, The Nephew will obviously still be there. Hom should be dropped as well, and preferably we would want an extra batsman in place of a bowler, probably Al-Amin.

I think we are un necessarily bringing in the Uncle-nephew relation here.
Tamim's scores in WI were 1, 53 , 48 , 64.
One bad match and we forget so quickly.

Need SN for the second test. He turns into Bradman against Zimbabwe.

and no one acknowledges Riyad. Played a good first innings and a decent second innings. That too in a position which he doesnt normally bat at

Riyad definitely played a great game! his maturity was evident. but still he gives it away in the wrong time.

I havent posted in ages nor have i watched cricket in ages so my assessment may be wrong. Is Anamul injured or something? Cos we can't afford to have Mushy keeping. Its costing us big time. However Anamul is simply not an opening test batsmen. What we can do is give him the gloves and play him at #7. I reckon it would be so good for the team.
He can bat when the ball is older and easier to hit. It would give him so much more confidence and we know what he is capable of. I reckon Anamul batting at #7 kills two birds with one stone, first it pushes Mushy out of the keeping job and it gives more foundation to our lower order. Plus the more international cricket Anamul plays the better cricketer he will be. He is such a talented player.

Alhmadullilah...a win is a win. It is important that we get a positive result after all the past losses.
However considering our home conditions and playing against Zimbabwe, this is no where near a convincing win. It seems we have still not learnt the basics of Test batting. We are lucy to have scrapped through.
I see the choices of Tamim and Shamsur are still hurting us. Also Shakib seems still rusty with the bat.

Only us can make an easy match looks so difficult and make it watching more fun. I was at the edge of the seat.
Well done us.
Any highlights?

2 years back if we played them at home what would be the result?
Weldone Zimbabwe. Adjusting on foreign conditions so fast. Their pacers are far better. What happened to the other ones those were (Jarvis and others) so promising few years back? I know ours are sidelined with injury. Taskin is not ready yet.
Although the match ended in 3 days, it was entertaining. I would have thought BD would show a little more maturity. I guess back to baby steps. We are not that good yet.
