You need to take risks in T20. That's how the big overs pay off. Our batsman (and people!)... we don't take risks. The reasons Zimbabwe had the West Indies-like flourish is because it was lost cause and they chose to play and entertain. A mindset we highly lack.

They don't think..many of our players have intelligence issue..that's why the term "village idiot" used to be thrown so much in this forum.
'what's all this drama going around with Riad? Some news channels are stating he would quit had he managed to be today's hero like he did in the test match?

Riyad will do Bangladesh team a huge favor if he retires from all formats after scoring a 50+ innings in the ODI series. Fingers crossed!

He won't retire even if he scores 100 with world cup just a year away. Sadly for us we won't see the end of mullah cricket before 2023

Doesn't matter. If we can crack the ODI code, we can hack the T20 algorithm as well. Our main deficiency is a lower order powerhitter lack. We need a 7th batsman who can slog us through any problems.
Even in T20 one has to follow a miniature ODI template of building innings and what not.

The 50-50 conundrum: Is ODI cricket dying or being pushed to its deathbed?
Tamim ducking bouncer on 20th over, against dilly-dally pace of Luke Jongwe, instead of hooking! He can win all the bilateral series, but won't take us far in WC with such defensive batting.
Anyway, congrats to Tamim on scoring 8K ODI runs (prolly will be the only Bangladeshi batter ever to reach the glory, given ODI will become an antique in next four-five years).
Comments from CI: "That seems a strange score. Either needs more wickets or more runs..."
With momentum Liton and then Bijoy added, with number of wickets we had at hand, we should have 20 more runs at least. Mushfiq was slogging but could not make good connections. Though he got to his fifty scoring run a ball, his performance actually supported Domingo's opinion that he should not be selected for the T20I team.
