Mithun Ali deserves another shot. He had to go for it at that stage so i am willing to give him another chance.
I would make three changes
i) Mominul for Tamim (momin at 3 and Anamul opens)
ii) Shabbir for Reza
iii) Ryad for Gazi

Couldn't sleep last night.... Too close of a match but then again our 10 position would have intacted anyway. Lets make it happen in the real (WC) matches.

I wouls keep the team unchanged, even though Riyad for Gazi and Mominfor Reza wouldn't be a bad idea.

WTV happened to ZIA? And why isn't mominul included? The lad scored a 50 and a 100 in test and that to with a reasonable strike rate. It's not like he can't play strokes. If you ask me, he is one of the best batsmen in the team ATM. Mithun, tithun dia kichu hobe na ... get the real performers in!

Sri Lanka did not play their A game in the first match and will likely to improve their batting in the next game. We should be prepared to chase 190-200 on the chittagong wicket if they bat first and also try to get at least 180 if we bat first.

With the current team we are very unlikely to get to 180 unless Shakib plays a blinder like he did against Pakistan. We need an innings of the same caliber as Kaushal Perera played at the top boosting the run rate to 10 an over for the first 7-8 overs. If we get 8 an over start and then a wicket falls, the new batsman will take some time and then even if we push the run rate we won't get further from 160. 160 on this wicket and with our bowling won't make the Sri Lankans sweat much.

That is why I think we really have to bolster the batting and get rid of the dead weights from the team. I know Farhad reza has had a stellar domestic season and did a great job in the field and with the ball in hand, but he doesn't seem to have the power to get the final over boundaries that we will need chasing 190-200. Shabbir, Zia, Ryad all are better options than him.

We need to tell Tamim to attack and not try to anchor the innings in T-20. If we have batting depth we can afford to let Tamim take on Malinga early in the game with the field restrictions in place. Tamim is technically equipped enough get boundaries off Malinga without having to slog and we must use him to take the fight to Malinga early in the game.

We should let Rubel and Shakib bowl the last 4 overs (2 each)
First six should be bowled by Mash 3, Rubel 2, Arafat 1
For the 10 middle overs we can juggle between Mash, Shakib, Ryad, Shabbir and Arafat whoever goes well for the day.

I'm really surprised to see that people here are not considering Mominul even as a replacement to players like Mithun or Farhad. FFS, he's not those typical test specialists who has limited range of shots and can't accelerate, just because he has great test records doesn't mean he can't play other formats. He only got very limited opportunities in shorter-versions and we mostly wasted those by playing him such low down the order, so no way we can label him as a test specialist before giving him a long-run in those formats. Mind you he played very well in the Challenge T20 Series between the national team and A team and was the top scorer there with the highest strike-rate, we also saw how good he can play in BPL and now that he matured even more by playing international cricket it's only a matter of time before he comes good in limited-overs cricket too.

This is a good side on paper and is the most likely team combination for the next match.
Please don't ! don't do this.. we can't afford to get a red card and play with a 10 men squad..

Shabbir has to come in for Mithun. I'm all for giving people consecutive matches but not when a bad decision was made. Shabbir should've been picked ahead of Mithun first match up. Then Riyad should make it over Gazi or Farhad. One of these 2 should be dropped next match. Hate leaving Mominul out but unless he bats in the top 4, it seems it's better not having him in the lineup.

Let's hope our boys step their games up tomorrow.

according to NTV news Ryad is in for tommorrow (celebration time for Zahid & BDTigerz)
but either Rubel or Phorhad will be out.
About BC favorite Shabbir's debut the decision will be taken at the very last momento.

I will be so happy if Tamim is benched for this match. His dogshit run rate cost us the first match. This dude is so lazy, that he won't run 3s! In a t20 match! Where every run counts! Imagine that.

Are we that pathetic that we will make room for an unfit guy in the team because his skills merit it?

How many more runs will he cost us today if he plays, I don't know. But if he keeps turning down 3s everytime, we will be in an identical situation as before.

If you seen my posts and threads over the years I'm against riyads selection in all formats. Its gazis pathetic form and how much he sucks in t20s that has meant another offie should come in..with no other choices its riyad..bat him at 11 i say..
