I have a feeling Sri Lanka will get knocked out, so our quarter final will be at Sydney, irrespective of where we end in our group.

I really wanted to see a four men pace attack against Lanka. Al Amin's expulsion is a blow to the team. There is no point including a specialist spinner, I guess we will go with 8 batsmen in this match too. However, I want to see Nasir in place of Anam for this match. Both Nasir and Soumya should practice bowling seam up.
My XI would be -
Tamim
Soumya
Momin
Mushfiq
Shakib
Riyad
Nasir
Sabbir
Mash
Rubel
Taskin

Its going to be an interesting match.
Lanka will obviously start as favourites but I think its still a very good chance for us to get a win under our belt against a decent side. Lankan bowling attack looks weak so we should aim to score big.
Also, with the pace attack we got if we can get a good start then we can definitely beat Lankans. Afghanistan gave Sri-Lanka a scare, no reason why we can't beat them.

SL will be very serious about this game. To beat them, we have to be at our best.

Yeah plan for those four wickets, rest can be earned regularly. No Murali, no scare.

Don't forget about Mathews. SL's best player currently.
It sucks that the match is at the MCG. In a sporting wicket I'd back our chances much more. But on a flat pitch, it's unlikely that all four of their world class batsmen will fail together.

I hope these guys are practicing hard for this match! No report of them yet coming out of Melbourne battling it out in the middle? Are they too caught up with this bullcrap of news of unrest in the camp? Super frustrated with the turn of things recently really!

We have to bat first and post 300 to guarantee a win. No team has chased over 300 at the MCG.
Are we capable of scoring 300 against this SL attack? No.
A score of 250 to 300 will give us a 50-50 chance of winning IF we get early wickets.

Word on the streets its hard to chase at the MCG, especially under the lights. Hell you should be batting first anytime you win the toss in Aus

I am going.
MCG pitch is getting slower and specially in 2nd innings so we might need to field 1 extra spinner leaving Mominul out.
Spinners got 5 wickets and bowled well in IND vs SA match, Taher also bowled well against IND.

This Lankan attack is nothing to be afraid of...Hope our batsmen don't make them look world class.
