Yep, the Teach Yourself series is good. I'm using their Italian book and it's pretty handy.

Are you Pakistani? Then why not take a trip to Bangladesh? As I said, you will pick up a language zillionath times faster if you immerse yourself. And continue coming to BC. Psychologists have shown we learn faster when we are in play mode and having fun and not from some insipid grammar drills or poring over alphabets.

But then again. At the end of the day, that's just one dogmatic post of mine. Follow whatever works best for you. If you are analytical minded and love grammar lessons then use softwares....

If you can do it successfully, you pass.
