I'd go with the match against the WI in the 2011 WC, where we collapsed horribly. We went into the match being ranked higher than the WI and for me the excitement was there.

Probably the match against India in the 2011 WC. It was similar to the lead up of the '07 match against them, but after thrashing NZ 4-0, I was REALLY expecting a good show at home.

For me, the WC 2011 opener vs India was by far the most anticipated match. The build-up to that match had a whole different dimension to it - first time hosts of the WC, the stunning opening ceremony and Bangladesh's match being the tournament opener...

Today's match is a close second, but having witnessed two top-quality performances prior to this, I've got a quiet confidence about this game, hence the butterflies (not the one Pont used to talk about) are fluttering relatively a bit less.

And I second Zeeshan bhai here... most of the matches against top oppositions are always highly-anticipated.

Here's my list:

1. Inaugural test match against India in 2000
2. ICC Trophy semi-final against Scotland in 1997 (Remember the semifinal was the crunch game, not the final).
3. Asia Cup final against Pakistan tomorrow.
4. WC 2011 opener against India.
5. First ever WC match against NZ in 1999.

Alhamdulillah! Ma Boy Delivered.

Now the next match is the most anticipated one for me. Will he crumble under pressure? Or will Pakistani Batsmen suffer from his Pedani? We shall find out

Gotta be the Asia Cup finals, although the '97 ICC trophy sem-final against Scotland comes close.

Ditto! I still can not believe we lost to Kenya on that semi-final. That team was one of the strongest we had in ICC tournament. It was Amarnath (coach) who had rift (conspiracy theory!) with Nannu that cost us world cup berth!

Every BD's cricket match is "most" anticipated to me

WC07 game against India. There was a lot of pressure and pride on the line (for me). We watched it in a big hall that was set up by our Indian friends.

ICC trophy game against Kenya is a close second.

About tomorrow's game, I'm not sure if it's anticipation of the game or the anticipation of beating pak for once. I'm sick and tired of hearing that our '99 win was fixed. I haven't seen a nation so proudly admit its guilt when it comes to the '99 match against pak. The shame of that loss is more than the shame of being caught with your pants down seems like!

The match against Sri Lanka on Tuesday. And trust me, I have not missed a single BD match since 1997.

Was it after the fact? You are saying this because we won or you really were anticipating the game before it started? I guess you were at the match?
