It surely has.
They are better prepared to handle the tough situations, plans it well to chase a total, knows when to switch the gear.
They look tough out on the field.
A very close game and a memorable win will have things for BPL's way so far.

Definitely yes! It did make an impact on our guys, last year you wouldn't see us try to chase a target with a RRR of 8+!

if we can score 350 in both innings, we will win atleast 75% of the matches we play today we did 290 another 60 with sensible batting is not out of the cards.

This is very much a BPL effect, I agree. Good thread.

Players have just come off a month of knowing they can chase down 7-10 an over and throw themselves about in the field. This was expected and is now perhaps becoming a baseline.

If you are confident knowing you can play 20 overs then you stop panicking in 50 overs. This is what we saw.

Long may it continue. Definitely the BPL effect at play

Yes it is. It's building more confidence on our players to play big shots and go fearless when the team needs them. Just like Shakib mentioned in the post match press conference, "I was thinking that we'll win the match by playing the way I did against Dhaka on BPL"
Source: Prothom Alo

Not that it was Shakib's contribution only. But BPL has certainly put a very good effect in building self confidence in our players!

Bhai this will change overnight if God forbid, team loses one day and Shakib doesn't perform well.

We had fallen behind when we had failed to embrace T20 cricket in its early days. Oh well, better late than never.

Ajfar/BK da let's hope for the best. Let's just not think about losing just like that. Yes, there's a chance for us getting thrased by the Lankans, but then again, we can also defeat them. The tigers have to prove to world cricket that they are not a bunch of Minnows anymore.

Just like Sachin said after the post-match conference....Bangladesh is an "underrated" team.

I agree Ian, they have the confidence to go for it in the last 20 overs with wicket in hands now - clearly the effect of getting more exposure in through BPL - good coaching, training, and instilling self belief.

And oh, Mashrafe is bowling a lot better now, I guess you deserve some credit for that too
