Am I missing something. Pakistani supporters are jumping up and down as if they are in the semi after Zim lost today. Do they realize SA has 3 points while they have none?

I would say Zim lost out of their own idiocy. On Gabba, they left two overs from Muzarabani unused. Then their batters committed suicide going after Taskin while they had so many others bowlers to milk.

It's because they can still beat BD, NED, and RSA and qualify. Had Zim won today, it would been over for them pretty much.

Yeh same, here. My other consolation was Pak would have been eliminated had Zim won

Any point in hoping for our boys to spring a surprise on PAK or IND? Squeaking past ZIM certainly doesn't bode well.

I wouldn't bet on it, if we were even a marginally better team in this format then we might have had a chance against Pak seeing they have never won a t20 in Aus (might win today vs Ned) and we have some sort of mental block against them.
India is just a much superior team and our mental block against them is on a whole other level

Nah Fizz has been on point of late. Shakib can always bowl a decent spell. Hasan Mahmud too can also bowl well on a given day. Its really just Mosaddek who is guaranteed to go for runs, but they are wary of him having gifted him a 5-fer just a couple of months ago.

Our Semi Final chances are highly unlikely even after this win. India and South Africa would most certainly take those 2 slots.
I do believe Zimbabwe had a huge chance to play in the semis had they beaten us and Netherlands regardless of their result against India, given the point they got from South Africa because of the rain. Shame.

Replace Mosaddek with Ebadot and play 4 fast bowlers for our remaining games? It would come at the cost of our batting depth

T20 introduction reminds me of the times BD were playing ODI to give lower ranked teams a chance of playing competitive cricket.
Rama’s current form reminds me of Ashraful’s era a bit.

What batting depth..at best we are scoring 140+ better play with 4 fast bowlers

Replace Sarkar with Ebadot. Sarker doesn't do anything meaningful.

Looking back Shakib HAD to take the gamble of bowling his best bowlers before final over. Because that was the aggressive mindset of taking wickets and not leaving it for the last over. Little did we all know what nature would usurp. Takeaway? There are wayyyy too many variables for anyone to call the shots. It is highly complex game in a matrix of Hilbert space. ( <---I don't even know why I wrote that.)

Brother Adnan, be grateful that we all were priveleged to witness a miracle of God. Providence merely gave us a taste of what He is capable of. Count your blessings and be thankful of the little things and victories in life... you will be much happier in the long run. Hopefully I was not sermonizing!
