I don't know but it doesn't or should't hide the fact, he scored more runs than any one in the Asia cup 2016

Riyad had higher average (121) and SR (165) than VK. Had similar amount of runs too. So what is your point? Shouldn't Riyad get the MOS ahead of VK and Shabbir?!

Shabbir played 5 innings, VK played 4. The number of match winning innings VK played is 3 against Shabbir's 1? If number of runs scored is the yard stick then it should have went to Babar Hayat (HK)(why discount qualifying rounds? It's also considered as T20I)

Do you read or do you just post bakwas? The fellow you quoted AVERAGES not gross runs scored. Babar Hayat averaged half of Riyad, never mind against inferior opposition.
Based on your argument Mominul is a better Test batsman than Pujars, Kohli, Rahane, and Tendulkar since his avergae is higher, regardless of the quality of the opposition.

Mary is such an inspirational character. have been following her career since before she medaled in the olympics. five times world champion battling rickety infra, 2 kids and what not.
in the olympics she had to compete in a category 2 levels heavier as her category wasnt there. she still got a bronze !
I am not sure she will go pro, at 32 she is still trying for another olympic medal.

going pro would mean settling abroad for all practical purposes. not sure she is willing to do that.
vijender, our other olympic medalist has gone pro and has KO'ed his first three opponents. his 4th match up is on 19th. let's see.

You completely miss the point intentionally, the most number of runs scored simply should not be the criteria for MOS. How many match winning performance one puts in the whole tournament counts more, anyway sorry to expect rational debate, Keep the award.

How would you define match winning? What if one guy scores all his teams runs on a minefield of a wicket, yet his team still loses?
The MAN of the series is an individual award. Its not called match winner of the series.
Rationality is highly subjective. BCCI objection to DRS because its "not perfect" is rational, yet I bet you most supporters of the BCCI position don't have any qualms of flying on airplanes because as we all know they are perfect amd never ever crash.

Could, would, should and might,
That's been our sorry plight.
Mas and Shakib fizzled under fire,
Mush and Tamim were like a flat tire.
Riyadh and Sabbir were the only ones,
who came out blazing all guns.
Sad as it is, but truth be told,
We were truly out-batted and out-bowled.
