Default interesting possible connection to (indirect) establishment of bangladesh

i was surprised to find out that the first Pakistani ambassador to the UN, Muhammad Asad, was an associate of Muhammad Iqbal. Iqbal, was IIRC, the author of the 2-nation theory in India.

at any rate, what is perhaps most interesting is that Md. Asad was an East European Jew born in present-day Ukraine in 1900. he came from a long line of rabbis, and received a very thorough Jewish education. in 1926, he embraced Islam and adopted the name Muhammad Asad.

he was a scholar and wrote several books including an autobiographical, a book on Zionism, english translations and commentaries of both the Quran and Sahih al Bukhari (both of which are considered amongst the best english translations of all time).

because of Asad's connections with Iqbal, it is quite interesting to note that, indirectly speaking, the origins of Bangladesh (and Pakistan) may have sprung from the ideas of someone born Jewish.

furqaan what is your obsession with our identity???

dont you know that Bangladesh had its root from thousands years back, sure we had to compromise west bengal but atleast we are not in a position of gujrat or something, and one more thing, we believe that everyone is born Muslim, and Muhammad Asad was born in a Polish Jew family not Ukranian ( the origins of the European Jews are from the kingdom of Khazzar which was ravaged by Mongol attacks ).
