External Items: Asia Cup will not take place until 2008 & Zimbabwe A squad named
Cricinfo on Asia Cup
Zimbabwe A squad
It's a shame that we have till 08 for Asia Cup, maybe they can combine it with the Asian Test Championships which also take place in 08/09
Also some familiar test players were named for the Zimbabwe squad(if the tour happens), so do you think our squad is be like the England Tour with the counties? Ash and Aftab were supposed to take part in the Counties tour but Ash went crazy in Natwest series and Aftab got hurt. Any chance of seeing them in the A squad for practice vs Zimbabwe?

I hate when India acts like a Big Bro in this area..
and i suggest ACC should take a stand against it, if any country is unable to play, get it done with those who can do it. Else, they'd find even silly excuse later..

Prothom-Alo in July mentioned that BCB was planning to have an Afro-Asia A team tournament in January involving A teams from SA, SL, Pak, Ind, and Zim. MA Aziz and Chittagong Divisional Stadiums were mentioned as possible venues for the tourny. After that, I did not hear anything from BCB regarding this tourny. But, since Zimbabweans are serious enough to prepare a team to send here, I guess, the tourny is on the track. Probably it will start in the middle of January, after the premier league is over. What do you guys think?

i don't think so. :P looks like none of the players are willing to play unless those two racist losers sack themselves. funny, funny. this is turning out to be very comic indeed. they select a team and the next day everyone steps down. :P

The 2 million dollar loss will be a big blow for our board,
I'm guess BCCB will try to organize an ODI tournament to up its revenues. Not too optimistic about attracting big teams though.
