Healthwise, everything in moderation is the key. I eat veggies, dairy, beef, lamb, chicken , turkey, occaisionally fish. I've contempleted going vegetarian whenever I think about animals being killed for meat, and also given the amount of meat that just gets wasted and thrown out. But the taste always lures me back. Definitely a lot of guilt there.
But from an environmental and standpoint, being vegan reduces your carbon footprint the most, followed by vegetarianism.

Bangladesh: Our Dream, Our Joy, Our Team
Almost 3rd week in and still going strong. Al-Furqaan surprising I personally have ZERO cravings, maybe because the realization I had I had so naturally, spon...taneously and very mildly. It was of my own decision and volition. Hence I never had any cravings. None whatsoever. And you KNOW how we Bangladeshis love our meat/beef/chicken.
One thing I WILL iterate is that given lack of protein B12 vitamins and 3HTP and/or tryptophan might be deficient, something known to build amino acid blocks and without these amino acids or protein there could be serotonin deficiency and might exacerbate depression. Just supplement it or in my case I use tofu and fish. Technically I am not a vegan but more of a pescatarian.
