Bangladesh is in the final round now, why should Bangladesh be stripped of full membership? We are Group-A champion, don't we??

That was a smart way to reply ^^^

The only remaining bit of logic I had left in me after the Lanka-wash and Asia Cup is all gone. I didn't know what to say... so I left it up to the emoticons to express my feelings.
LOL champions... nice

There are defeats and there are humiliating defeats.
This defeat is humiliating. Come on, we lost to King Kong, where should I find my solace?

Humiliating? How?
Aren't we in second round? Shouldn't you be rather happy?

Let's open up a victory playlist thread with links to party songs. songs that our DJ in the stadium would approve.

Yes, I am happy that are in the 2nd round, no I am not happy that we lost to HK!
If this loss did not lower our self respect, why are we all bent out of shape and wanting selectors and Mushy's head?

yep - Bangladesh needs to play qualifiers even if they are the hosts even if they bashed afg and dominated nepal. yeah you dominated two associates - and refused a single so that you can finish off inshtyle.
well finished off inshtyle.
As long as two associate wins are enough to make fans and players go crazy - as long as it is not an expectation - yes - we must be mired in quals.
Afg was arrogant and thought they would bulldoze us - we got mad at afg
then bd comes today and shak and anam gets into associate bashing mode. and then the end was not pretty.
as long as professionalism is lacking - we shall play quals.

The second of the two was manufactured. It would have been won with a 6 and a single - shattered the whole time-space continuum.

Good on Ireland.
I would have preferred an expanded tournament that allowed the associates to play at least 2 or more matches. They don't get these chances often.
Here is the thing about rankings. Anyone know how many T20 Bangladesh has played in the past 3 years? Where is BCB? Where is ICC? We played less T20 then Afg and Ireland. That is a failure, primarily for BCB. You'd think BD would at least play 15-20 T20s yearly because it's a game that could be played twice in a day. Not that I'm suggesting that. (Unless that's the only way we can get the big guys to pencil us in in their BUSY IPL, errrr I mean, international schedule)
|
Teshin, your point on BCB not playing enough T20s is well founded I realise. It also exposes yet another weakness of the ICC who are supposed to be the governing body of cricket. They should play some part in ensuring that every country concerned plays a given minimum number of matches in each category of cricket, in a given year.
