No, I do not agree.

You may not need any methodical analysis, for this type of series, even three numbers are enough to analyze and find the pattern. Once you get the pattern, then it is easy to find the missing number or the next number in the sequence.

So it is 9th century CE. You are an admirer of theatrical art and belong to Kashmir. Suddenly for some god-knows-what reason you started counting the number of open tours possible for a knight in a chess board. What was your end count?
