Fix the Forum
Not sure where this thread had to be opened but forget cricket would make sense. The forum has been dying for a while now. With the world cup just a couple of days away, we are bound to get new users. Mods, fix the forum.
Couple of suggestion:
-Make a notification system so when someone quotes a person, that person gets a notification. Makes the discussion more lively. -> This is a must for any forum.
-BC needs a new Banner for the WC.
- Cut down on the ban game a bit. Let others speak freely (as long as they are not being abbusive), regardless of it if alligns with our vision or not.
anyone has any other suggestions?

Only thing we can do is like you guys is make interesting threads/games so interest picks.
Some of the members here are trying to do that. check some sticky threads in the cricket section
apart from that If anyone has money buy a new domain make a new forum. Lets all move there and contribute. at least we will have the full time admin there

This is sad. One of the best cricket forum will die out before the next world cup if the admins does nothing. BC needs to take a leaf from PP and ICF. They did it right. Espacially PP, the way they made their forum.

I think it has to do with money. It's always about money. This site probably generates decent monthly income good for one person as a side venture but probably not for 5. Admin are in shadow. No incentives to change.
Site is running smoothly - it's the engagement, features etc etc that u all want which is not worth their time. No forum these days are without likes button, rep button. That would be the first thing u need for increased engagement... it's all about likes. FB, Instagram are thriving on this simple concept.
why would someone spend time generating content, writing detailes posts if no meaningful replies or at least likes that show the ackowledgement. I read many posts that i like but i dont really want to reply to. But the poster would never know it.
Also, life happens and ppl move on, cricket becomes boring, samething become boring. So New colorful posters need to be promoted.

For example, Yankees. the guy is a big dimwit . But his fight to prove he is not (but fails) is colorful. So we should give him some voice.

I been writing here waay before Trump ran for anything meaningful in exactly same manner. You are unfortunately not the first person to draw similar parallel (outside of this forum). And I do not always agree with him but I admire the way how he manipulates and control the room...
Not Roey haque type of brain washed herd admiration however.

ah the color. Keep going. But you have to be a lot more clever though - not just bark. It suits you however - the barking.

Thanks godzilla for opening the thread. I agree- something needs to be done.
Overall the forum appears fine. There is a lack of front page content and dynamic banner updates etc.
A forum thrives by engagement from its members which is clearly lacking. I am visiting the forum almost every other hour but there is almost nothing to engage with or no one to discuss/argue/fight with our passion. If we can pick up engagements, everything else can be sorted out easily and will fall into place.
I will try to sort out the front page content during the World Cup.
Let’s hope we get some core members back and BC again becomes the best cricket forum online.

Thanks for taking the time to do something about the forum. If you guys can put on a notification system, like system, we are bound to see more engagement from the users. Ususally if I post something, someone quotes me, I have no idea unless I specifically go and try to find that exact thread/post. Makes it dull and not worth the effort. I think that would be a great way for members to innitiate conversation/engagement.

How about ahem allowing posters to play their natural game? I mean playing without the fear of getting axed?

First of all thanks to the admins and mods for running the forum for so long.
Yes some tweaks would be nice on the forum, like the quote notification which I have also previously vouched for.
I can understand that with privacy policy and copy rights the amazing video section is no longer feasible. I still remember the excitement of when highlights would be posted back in 2004/2005.

I am always surprised by our lack of numbers if anything for a cricket craze country.
It seems like no one knows of a BDeshi cricket forum amongst the BDeshi fans.

We will do some promotion, and we have a decent number of members. I am not sure if the forum would be able to handle the pressure if suddenly a large number of members log in on Matchday.
